In Brussels today:

A Press Release in which the European ombudsman welcomes' the Commission's efforts to facilitate the integration of people with disabilities', but 'more should be done to sensitise the Commission's staff to the needs of people with disabilities.'

In particular the ombudsman criticises insufficient measures to sensitise the Commission's own staff to the needs of people with disabilities,and the inadequacy of the European Schools funding for children with disabilities.

(As the mother of a child with a disability who had to be withdrawn from a European school, I can only say: YES! S.C)
